Classroom Manager (Classwize) Dashboard Update

Classroom Manager (Classwize) has a new customizable dashboard. Teachers can now customize the layout of students on their dashboard and resize student tiles. Teachers can apply tools to a group of students within their class. Teachers can highlight the students, or use the checkbox next to the students’ name, and apply a tool. Tools include the following:

  • Focus rule
  • Pause the internet
  • Announcement
  • Open Tab
  • Screenshare

Important Software Updates: Canva & Zoom

  • A 30-day retention policy for Zoom Cloud recordings will go into effect on September 30th. If you record a Zoom meeting to the Zoom Cloud, it will only be stored for 30 days before it is auto-deleted. You can find directions for saving your Zoom Cloud recordings to your desktop on Slide 2 in the presentation below.

  • If you need to upgrade your Zoom account to a Zoom EDU license, please complete the form on Slide 2 in the presentation below.

  • The [Archived Hall County Schools] Canva team will go away on October 16th. Any designs not copied over to your assigned team will not be accessible. Directions on how to copy designs to your assigned team can be found on Slide 4 in the presentation below.

ParentSquare Integrated Calendar & Post Widget

Reminder: After clicking on an article, sign into ParentSquare using the “Sign In with Google” option. Use your Hallco credentials to log in.

 

How to add a ParentSquare Calendar Events to Your School Website Calendar:

  • The ParentSquare Calendar event has to be created on the school’s ParentSquare calendar found on the home page (not a group’s calendar) in ParentSquare. The event must be shared to the whole school (not specific grade levels or groups).
  • It could take up to 12 – 24 hours for a ParentSquare calendar event to sync to the school website calendar.

How to Share ParentSquare Posts to Your School Website:

  • The ParentSquare post widget allows you to post up to 10 ParentSquare posts on your school’s website.
  • To share a post to your school’s website click on the gear at the top of the post, select “Share”, and select “Share on Website”.  After you confirm and select “Share”, the posts will appear on your school’s website.
